On November 10, a search was conducted in the apartment of Petrozavodsk City Council deputy Olga Tuzhikova. She has a status of a witness in a criminal case, as reported by the press service of the Yabloko party.

On the morning of November 10, security forces conducted a search at the apartment of Olga Tuzhikova, a deputy of the Petrozavodsk City Council representing the Yabloko party. She is a witness in a case related to calls for activities against state security (Article 280.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The politician’s phone and computer were confiscated during the search. Tuzhikova was summoned for questioning by the FSB (Federal Security Service) and the Investigative Committee. According to her relatives, she has been undergoing interrogation at the FSB since 2 PM.

The search warrant was issued by the Petrozavodsk Garrison Military Court, where Tuzhikova repeatedly defended the interests of mobilized recruits as a lawyer.

The deputy could have initially attracted the attention of security forces due to her maintaining “overly close ties with former journalists that had been officially declared foreign agents in Russia”, the media outlet “Stolitsa na Onego” (“The Capital on Onego”) claims.

Olga Tuzhikova is involved in animal protection, the fight for environmental conservation and assistance to illegally conscripted recruits in Petrozavodsk. She also opposed the resignation of Mayor Vladimir Lyubarsky, who intended to go to war.
