According to Facebook page of co-chairman of the organization Sergey Poduzov, prosecutor's office has requested more documents after planned inspection of documents of human rights organization "Human being and Law", which began on 23 November.
Sergey Poduzov is sure that inspectors have exposed exorbitant and unreasonable demands, which must have been completed before the end of the week. He wrote:
"We don't understand request for documents from the prosecutor of Yoshkar-Ola. The difficulty is not in documents required to submit, but in the volume of documents prosecutors needed to check. Yes, the request contains reference to the law "On the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation", but these articles relate to the powers of prosecutors. We are interested in the legal basis, for what purpose and why copies of the documents should be checked. are None of the employees does not prevent prosecutors and experts; we were told that the check is on site and asked to provide access to documents. No one interferes, you can check the activities of the organization. Therefore, a request for copies of the documents listed in 18 paragraphs remains a mystery to us. Moreover, the list is not specified. According to this list, prosecutors need all the records on the activities of the organization for 2015-2016 years. These requirements are in fact contrary to the position of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, as set out in the judgment of 17 February 2015."
A week ago, experts checked fulfillment of legislation on non-profit organizations and counter-terrorism. Then prosecutors demanded 11 types of documents.

He did not indicate that this organization was in the "foreign agents" register. According to the chairman of the organization Irina Protasova, the solution will be challenged at the ECHR. October 20, human rights activists have paid the entire fine.
"Human being and Law" is the oldest human rights organization in the country, it has been operating since 1999. It is in the "foreign agents" registry from December 30, 2014.
