Three days of arrest to one of the organizers of the "Strike of Voters" Horizontal Russia 0

On January 25, Kirov police detained volunteers of Navalny’s headquarters George Uspensky and Richard Rose. Rose is arrested for three days.

George Uspensky is accused of organizing a public event without notifying the mayor's office on October 7, Richard Rose – of failure to pay a fine from the traffic police.

"Uspensky was detained right at the house, Rose – in the car. We believe that they were detained in order to prevent their participation in the rally on January 28 [a "Strike of Voters" announced by Alexey Navalny]," a lawyer said.

The punishment for the administrative article, which is imputed to Uspensky, also provides for an arrest. In November 2017, the ex-coordinator of Navalny's headquarters in Kirov, Arthur Abashev, was arrested for five days for organizing single pickets in support of Navalny without notifying the mayor's office.

The meeting "Strike of Voters" should be held on January 28 at 14:00 in park named after Stepan Khalturin. Permission of the mayor's office is not required to conduct public actions there. It should last until 15:00. Richard Rose, according to Denis Shadrin, will be released after 15:00 on January 28.

Head of the Anti-Corruption Fund and ex-presidential candidate Alexey Navalny announced the all-Russian "Strike of Voters" after the Russian Electoral Commission banned him from running for president because of his conviction related to the Kirovles case.
