My book with anti-fascist poems will be recognized as extremist

Александр Бывшев

I was called for questioning to the Kromy Investigative Committee. I was informed that on July 27, 2018, the FSB of Russia in the Orel region instituted a sixth criminal case on the grounds under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Calls for Extremist Activity") for my poem "Dedicated to NATO's Expansion to the East," in which I strongly condemned Russia's extremely aggressive foreign policy with its obsession for "Third Rome", "Russky Mir", "the revival of the former imperial greatness" and called on the civilized world to contain the Kremlin's geopolitical ambitions and counter the Russian military expansion so that the neighboring countries did not repeat the sad fate of Georgia and Ukraine, whose territorial integrity was so treacherously broken by their northern neighbor.

But that's not all. A senior investigator from Orel informed me that in the near future the relevant services will begin to check my anti-fascist book of poems about the Second World War "Bloody Memory" published in the USA in 2015 for extremism in it. That is, they want to officially ban it on the territory of the Russian Federation and include in the list of banned literature. It seems that they decided to drive me into the underground once and for all…
