The Open Media has learned the name of the author of the report on blogger Alyona Vodonaeva on which, according to the media, a criminal case on extremism could be based. This was reported on February 11 on the website of the Open Media (OM).
Yevgeny Pankratov, a bodybuilder from Yoshkar-Ola, confirmed to the journalists of OM that he had filed a report on Alyona Vodonaeva. According to the media, he wants her to apologize for saying that «either rich or uneducated mediocre people» give birth in Russia. He appealed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs through its website after he had learned about the young woman’s statements from community "Men's Way" on vk.com.
According to the Super.ru site, the police wants to check Vodonaeva's Instagram post for extremist statements. The blogger herself is going to the police for giving explanations.
In December 2019, Vodonaeva posted a text about demography in Russia on her Instagram, in particular, she wrote: "Unfortunately, very often people in Russia have children not because they desire to become mothers and fathers, but because they simply want to have sex. I despise families who live in poverty and give birth to three or four children. What for? With what money would they raise them?»
The blogger's lawyer did not see any social group's insults in her client's publications.
On January 15, Vodonaeva criticized Vladimir Putin's suggestion to expand the maternity capital program for those who gave birth to their first child. After that, State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin suggested fining her for 100 million rubles. Such a fine for statements is not provided by Russian legislation.
According to the blogger, some potential parents ("drunks and mobs") would like to spend their maternity fund on another "bottle of vodka". After obstruction on federal channels, Vodonaeva started her own YouTube channel.
