On October 18, the Solombala district court of Arkhangelsk imposed a fine in the amount of 10 thousand rubles to Ivan Leontiev. The day before he was detained by police.

More than six months after the "garbage protests" in Arkhangelsk, the prosecution of their participants continues. On October 18, the Solombala district court of Arkhangelsk held a meeting at which activist Ivan Leontiev was imposed a fine of 10 thousand rubles. On October 17, he was detained by the police and reported under Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code («Violating the Established Procedure for Arranging or Conducting a Meeting, Rally, Demonstration, Procession or Picket»), told his defense counsel, lawyer Oksana Vladyka, the correspondent of "7x7". On the day of his arrest, he was going to visit his elderly grandfather he cares for because of his health. But he ended up at the police station for the whole night.

— The first report was made on April 24, two weeks after demonstration, - Oksana Vladyka reported. - Since April 24, the person who doesn't leave Arkhangelsk couldn't "be caught". Why have law enforcement agencies become more active right now? Apparently, the task of the week is to intimidate the activists, to bring horror to all sympathizers. During the week, there were searches, detentions, courts. This is such an exemplary flogging for the people to come to their senses and stop their protest.

Oksana Vladyka noted that the prosecution took the side of the court in the absence of the prosecutor or the police officer who drew up the protocol. According to her, this is a violation. Moreover, there was no reason to detain Ivan Leontiev for the whole night, as he does not leave the city. She intends to appeal the imposition of a fine. Probably, as in the case of other activists fined for participation in the demonstration, Leontiev will also be drawn up a protocol on participation in the rally, the lawyer added. She herself was also prosecuted for participating in the demonstration and rally by the Oktyabrsk district court of Arkhangelsk on April 12.

In Arkhangelsk, on April 7, «anti-garbage» protests against the landfill construction at station Shies and the import of Moscow waste into the region were held. The actions were not negotiated with the local authorities. After them many activists began to be detained and fined under Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code («Violating the Established Procedure for Arranging or Conducting a Meeting, Rally, Demonstration, Procession or Picket»).
