Syktyvkar Town Court sustained the claim of the Ministry of Justice of Komi on liquidation and exclusion of banned extremist nationalist organization Rubezh Severa* (‘Frontier of the North’) from the corporate register. This was reported by the press service of the court on November 15.

The press service reported that the organization did not hand over reports on its activities, the list of participants, reports on expenses and property and information on the continuation of its activities. The town court ruled that this violated the federal law on non-profit organizations (Federal Law №7 of January 12, 1996). The court's decision did not enter force.

As told to the correspondent of 7x7 in the Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic, banned extremist organization Rubezh Severa* had been in liquidation, but was completely liquidated currently because of the violation of the law.

According to the lawyer Victor Vorobyov, the organization had been given the right to be liquidated independently and at the moment it was simply excluded from the register as invalid.

In September 2016, the Komi Prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit in the Syktyvkar Town Court to the office of the Republican Ministry of Justice and Alexei Kolegov, the leader of the organization, on the liquidation of the Rubezh Severa* Autonomous Non-Profit Organization of Military-Patriotic Education of Youth. It was liquidated by the court decision in November 2016.

*Rubezh Severa is an extremist organization banned in Russia.
