Ust-Vymsky district court of the Komi Republic fined eco-activist Olga Fedulova, who participated in stopping a fuel truck that was going to station Shies in Arkhangelsk Oblast, for 5 thousand rubles. The correspondent of "7x7" reported it from the courtroom on October 7.

Judge Ekaterina Ryzhkova found Olga Fedulova guilty under Part 1 of Article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation («Organization of mass gathering of citizens in public places resulting in violation of public order») and assigned her a fine of 5 thousand rubles. The court, having taken positive characteristics of the accused and the nature of the crime into consideration, halved the amount of the administrative penalty that is usuially assigned by this article.

In court, lawyer of the Public Verdict Foundation Ernest Mezak pointed to errors in the preparation of the protocol: it was drawn up twice, it was unclear what exactly had been changed there. Mezak also pointed out that there was no information in the case file about the notice of drafting and amending the protocol. The lawyer referred to article 42 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation (everyone has the right for a favorable environment) and considered that the activist could not be charged with Article 20.2:

— There was another administrative violation — arbitrariness. Because people did not let a particular fuel truck. They had reasons to believe the truck was going to Shies, — Ernest Mezak told the judge.

On August 27, near the village of Madmas, activists blocked the road to two fuel trucks, which, in their opinion, were carrying fuel to the construction site. On August 28, police officers drew up administrative reports against four activists. On September 4, the police drew up a report for administrative violation of public order against another activist. In total, according to activists, twenty people are charged with administrative cases on the «case of fuel trucks».

It became known that the Technopark Company had begun the construction of the landfill for Moscow garbage at station Shies in Lensky District of Arkhangelsk Oblast in the summer of 2018. Residents of the Komi Republic and Arkhangelsk Oblast are holding protests against the construction, organize all-Russian protest actions, and in December 2018, they organized a round-the-clock watch at the construction site.
