Also, the jury noted a series of articles about NGO representatives in various regions, which included material about Andrei Blinushovinterview of Irina Ochagova with the founder of a shelter for homeless people in Kostroma Alexander Pushkaryov and an article by Katerina Klepikovskaya about the founder of the "Azerbaijan" charity fund that helps migrants, old people and children, a member of the Kirov Public Chamber Elnur Guseynov. The authors of the articles and their heroes attended the ceremony. The prizes and gratitudes were presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Olga Golodets.

"It is important that journalists raise these topics. But there is a question: how do journalists and our society understand the work of NGOs and what is its difference from volunteering? After the competition, a lot of questions arose, but it's good – we plan to carefully analyze the materials, possibly adjust the situation and do something to make journalists more proficient in the topic," said the deputy chairman of the Board for Social Welfare in the Government of Russia, the director of the Agency of Social Information Elena Topoleva.

The competition for regional journalists, media editorials and creative studios was announced in November 2017 by the Agency of Social Information, the V. Potanin Charitable Foundation and the STADA Group in Russia. It received more than 230 works in six nominations from 50 regions of Russia. Heroes of materials were leaders and employees of NGOs, working in different fields, active people and volunteers. Journalists talked about problems faced by non-profit organizations in Russia.

The works were assessed by an expert council and a professional jury of journalists, heads of the largest foundations, well-known benefactors and patrons of art.

The Agency of Social Information is a non-profit organization and an independent news agency. ASI has been working for more than 23 years to raise public awareness of civil initiatives and NGO activities, develop social responsibility, provide informational support to socially important projects and conduct educational campaigns.
