In the Petrozavodsk city court, the historian Yuri Dmitriev, accused of producing pornography, had his last say and announced his innocence, as reported by "7x7" journalist on March 27.

The meeting is held in camera since Yuri Dmitriev's underage daughter is involved. In the court corridor, there was a large number of friends, acquaintances and journalists waiting for the historian.

After the hearing, the historian and his legal representative Viktor Anufriev hold a press conference.

According to the lawyer, the information is spread that his client allegedly undermined the mental health of his adopted daughter, so she became afraid of him. Dmitriev showed the court a convincing argument that was a letter from his daughter, where, on the reverse side, it was written “I love you” in colour.

"This is the result of the process. This is important", says Anufriev. "In my defence speech, I told the court that the most affected party was neither justice nor Yuri Alekseyevich [Dmitriev], but this girl, who was torn from her habitual environment, from the family, was torn from the person who became her nearest, who became her dad. They neglected the interests of the child in the sense that it was a doctor who ordered to put the girl in hospital in January, but no one put her there, she was taken away from Petrozavodsk. No matter who and how tried to influence the girl that her father was bad, she wrote such a letter".

The judge Marina Nosova retired to write the verdict, she is about to pass the sentence on April 3, 2018.
