"I do not know what case the search is connected to, I can only assume that this is under article 294 of the Criminal Code ["Obstruction of the administration of justice and the production of preliminary investigation"]. The operatives said that I was obstructing justice. But they did not show me any papers on this matter and seized all the office equipment again.
According to Byvshev, he was blocked on Facebook for a month and "cut off from the outside world" for reasons unknown to him.
The next hearing on the case of extremism is scheduled for February 19.
In 2015, Alexander Byvshev was first convicted on an extremist article for poetry in support of Ukraine. Several of his works are considered extremist, and he is included in the official list of extremists and terrorists of Rosfinmonitoring, so he is forbidden to work in the profession — after the start of criminal prosecution, he was fired from school where he taught foreign languages.
The trial of Byvshev on a new case about the publication of poems of extremist content on the Internet has been going on since January 2018. The state prosecutor demanded that the judge close the meetings from the journalists because the officers of the Federal Security Service (FSB) are witnesses. After these requirements are not satisfied, three security officers who are witnesses on the case, appeared to be on a business trip outside the Oryol region. The poet believes that representatives of law enforcement agencies do not like his media activity and communication with the media.
Law enforcement officers repeatedly conducted searches at Alexander Byvshev and seized a laptop, and each time sympathizers collected money for new equipment. The poet is under the written pledge not to leave country. Correspondent of «7x7» visited him in December 2017.
