Yoshkar-Ola prosecutor's office will hold the next scheduled inspection of the interregional public organization "Human being and Law" for the implementation of legislation on non-profit organizations and counter-terrorism. Co-chairman of the organization Sergey Poduzov reported on Facebook on November 21.
The prosecutors will start examining the documents on November 23.
They requested 11 types of documents leaders of the NGO: certificate of registration office, membership of the organization, accounting and financial reporting and banking, audit reports on the results of previous audits. Prosecutors laid special emphasis on agreement concluded in 2013 with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to participate in one of the programs.
Chairman of "Human being and Law" Irina Protasova told that all documents have repeatedly checked by the prosecutor's office and other regulatory organizations:
'On November 24, 2014 the Justice Ministry, which checked everything. Cameral tax inspection takes place every three months. Also, every quarter we account for all ongoing activities to the Ministry of Justice of Russia. We have been plainly visible to government agencies for a long time.
Protasova recalled that the office of human rights organization was subject to seven inspections from late July to early September. Supervisory organizations have found no serious violations. Human rights activists have been warned of the lack of documents confirming the approval of the transfer of residential premises in non-residential, and verbal warning because of a lack of serial numbers (applied manually by the owner) on the fire extinguishers in the office.
August 31, Supreme Court of Mari El upheld penalty to 150 thousand rubles for publication in the employee's personal blog "Human being and Law". He wrote that the organization was added to the "foreign agents" registry. This decision, according to the chairman of the organization Irina Protasova, will be challenged in the European Court of Human Rights. October 20, human rights activists have paid the penalty.
"Human being and Law" is the oldest human rights organization in Mari El, running since 1999; was added to the "foreign agents" registry on December 30, 2014.
