On July 23, Petrozavodsk supporters of Alexey Navalny planned to install a campaign cube at the monument to Peter the Great and hand out leaflets for the second time. Law enforcement officials did not allow to do it.

According to official representative of Navalny's headquarters Kornyshov, on Sunday at the monument to Peter I there were twice as many police officers as before, and a car of the police dispatch center. The police warned that the actual goal of the event – 'informing citizens about the economic situation in the country and ways to solve it' – did not coincide with the stated goal, and they banned the action.

Navalny's agitation cubes are installed all over Russia. On July 22, the police allowed Petrozavodsk supporters of the opposition politician to hold a rally. Activists of the movement distributed leaflets at the monument to Peter I, several leaflets were handed to policemen.

In Yoshkar-Ola, Ryazan and Kirov, the installation of the cube was not coordinated by local authorities. Voronezh members of the headquarters were warned in the mayor's office that they would violate the law on agitation if they arrange pickets with cubes. On June 23, Kostroma activist Anastasiya Kartavykh was detained for picketing using an agitation cube in support of Navalny and was fined for inconsistency with the stated and actual goal of the event. The police seized agitation materials in many cities.
