Putinsky district is set to emerge in the capital of Chechnya. Regional authorities assert that the name was chosen by local citizens, as reported by TASS on April 15th.
The Grozny city hall conducted a poll on naming a new city area after Vladimir Putin. Over two days, representatives of the administration surveyed residents in the Sheikh-Mansurovsky district.
According to city hall reports, 34,705 out of 35,000 respondents voted in favor of naming the new district after Putin. Officials also emphasized that Ramzan Kadyrov supervises each step of the area's construction.
The cult of Putin's personality continues to escalate in Russia. For instance, in April 2024, a school in Nizhny Tagil placed a plaque with the president's name on the desk where he once sat. Alexander Strelnikov, the school's vice principal, stated that 'this is an ordinary desk in an ordinary classroom,' and that 'different children' may sit there.
